Diploma Of Clinical Aromatherapy

HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy reflects the role of clinical aromatherapists, who provide therapeutic treatments to address a range of health issues. Practitioners may be self-employed or may work within a larger health service.
Aromatherapy uses essential oils as a therapeutic measure to treat a variety of conditions. Its practitioners work in settings ranging from spas to nursing homes.
Clinical aromatherapist provide therapeutic treatments for a range of health issues. Practitioners may be self-employed or may work within a larger health service.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
Work in the health industry reflects a complex inter-relationship of duty of care, ethical behaviours and personal values in the context of provision of high-quality service to clients.
The nature and principles of work in the health industry include:
d) meeting duty of care, legal and statutory responsibilities (ethical behaviour)
e) providing a non-discriminatory service
f) .providing a client-centered approach.
It is essential that workers have a sound understanding of the complex regulatory environment in which they work given the interaction between health professional registration legislation; consumer protection and health complaints legislation; public health legislation and the common law principles that apply to a treating practitioner/client relationship.

Language Literacy Numeracy (LLN)

At MCOHB the ACSF core skills entry levels for each course are determined by referring to the foundation skills in the training package. Core skills are assessed using an approved industry specific paper-based assessment tools to assess an applicant’s LLN capability. Academic Entry Requirements
